Ford E Series Colors: Find Your Perfect Color Match

The Ford Motor Company’s Club Wagon line of standard-size vans is a collection of vehicles produced and displayed. The Ford E-Series board van was introduced for the 1961 model year as a successor to the Ford F-Series board van, and it is now in its fourth generation.

The E-Series was designed as a van for either freight or passenger usage and as a cutaway van body with stripped suspension for both retail and business use. It was produced in many different plan versions for retail and commercial use (a body without bodywork). Since the 2015 model year, Ford has only supplied the final two configurations since the Ford Transit has replaced the E-Series vans. According to consumer surveys, from 1980 through 2014, the E-Series van was the highest-rated regular van in the United States.

The model line will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2021, placing it second only to the Ford F-Series (which has been in production since 1948) in terms of longevity within Ford Motor Company. It is collected by Ford at its Ohio Assembly headquarters in Avon Lake, Ohio, producing the E-Series since 1975 and is responsible for its collection. Lorain Assembly in Lorain, Ohio, completed the collection of the model line from 1961 to 2005 before the show’s completion.

After three generations, Ford debuted their fourth iteration of the Econoline/Club Wagon for the 1992 model year. While the third-generation chassis was substantially retained, the exterior and interior were completely redesigned from the ground up. In its development, the vehicle has undergone multiple alterations, the most recent of which was completed in 2021.

Beginning in the late 1990s, Ford started discontinuing the usage of the Econoline and Club Wagon nameplates on its vehicles. For 1999, the Club Wagon nameplate was no longer in use (in favor of Econoline Wagon). Following the 2000 model year, the Econoline was renamed the E-Series, a moniker more in keeping with Ford’s full-size F-Series trucks.
